Terms, Conditions & Waiver

1. Acknowledgement

By booking or using Lumi Red Light Therapy services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, Conditions and Waiver.

Red Light Therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive wellness modality designed to support general wellbeing, recovery and skin health. It is not medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

2. Health & Suitability

You acknowledge that you are responsible for determining whether Red Light Therapy is suitable for you and for disclosing any relevant health conditions prior to use, including but not limited to:

  • Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy

  • Photosensitivity or light-sensitive conditions

  • Use of photosensitising medications

  • Active cancer, current cancer treatment, or any condition requiring medical supervision, unless use of red light therapy has been discussed with your treating medical practitioner

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders triggered by light exposure

  • Skin conditions, open wounds or recent cosmetic procedures

  • Any other medical condition that may affect suitability for light-based therapy

  • Lumi reserves the right to refuse or discontinue sessions where use is considered unsuitable or unsafe.

3. Medical Disclaimer

All information provided by Lumi staff is general wellness information only and does not constitute medical advice.

You acknowledge that you should seek advice from a qualified medical practitioner regarding any health concerns or medical conditions prior to commencing sessions.

4. Assumption of Risk

You understand that individual responses to Red Light Therapy may vary and that potential temporary effects may include:

  • Temporary skin redness or irritation

  • Eye discomfort or light sensitivity

  • Headache, dizziness or fatigue

  • Unexpected sensitivity reactions

You agree to follow all safety instructions, recommended session durations and guidance regarding protective eyewear, and to discontinue use if you experience unexpected reactions.

5. Waiver & Release of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumi is not liable for loss, injury or damage resulting from misuse of the equipment, failure to follow safety instructions, failure to disclose relevant health information, or use of Red Light Therapy where you have been advised not to do so.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Results vary between individuals and no particular outcome is guaranteed.

6. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumi against any claims, damages, costs or expenses arising from your use of the services or breach of these Terms.

7. Bookings, Cancellations & Payments

Cancellation Policy
Plans change — we get it. Cancel or reschedule at least 3 hours before your booking and your session credit will be returned to your account. Cancellations made within 3 hours of your booking, or no-shows, will result in the session being forfeited.

Sessions must be booked in advance.

Packages and memberships are non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

8. Studio Conduct & Safety

You agree to:

  • Follow all operational and safety instructions.

  • Use protective eyewear where provided or recommended.

  • Not exceed recommended session durations.

  • Not allow another person to access the studio using your booking or access credentials.

  • Not use equipment that appears damaged, faulty or unsafe, and to notify Lumi promptly of any equipment concerns.

  • Use the studio respectfully and hygienically.

Lumi reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where there are safety concerns, misconduct or breaches of studio policies.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.

10. Agreement

By booking, attending or using Lumi Red Light Therapy services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, Conditions and Waiver.
