Terms, Conditions & Waiver

1. Acknowledgement

By booking or using Lumi Red Light Therapy services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, Conditions and Waiver.

Red Light Therapy (RLT) is a non-invasive wellness modality designed to support general wellbeing, recovery and skin health. It is not medical treatment and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

2. Health & Suitability

You acknowledge that you are responsible for determining whether Red Light Therapy is suitable for you and for disclosing any relevant health conditions prior to use, including but not limited to:

  • Pregnancy or suspected pregnancy

  • Photosensitivity or light-sensitive conditions

  • Use of photosensitising medications

  • Active cancer or recent cancer treatment or any condition requiring medical supervision unless cleared by your medical practitioner

  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders triggered by light exposure

  • Skin conditions, open wounds or recent cosmetic procedures

  • Any other medical condition that may affect suitability for light-based therapy

  • Lumi reserves the right to refuse or discontinue sessions where use is considered unsuitable or unsafe.

3. Medical Disclaimer

All information provided by Lumi staff is general wellness information only and does not constitute medical advice.

You acknowledge that you should seek advice from a qualified medical practitioner regarding any health concerns or medical conditions prior to commencing sessions.

4. Assumption of Risk

You understand that participation in Red Light Therapy involves potential risks and side effects, including but not limited to:

  • Temporary skin redness or irritation

  • Eye discomfort if protective eyewear is not used correctly

  • Headache, dizziness or fatigue

  • Unexpected sensitivity reactions

  • You voluntarily accept full responsibility for your participation and use of the equipment.

5. Waiver & Release of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and discharge Lumi, its owners, employees, contractors and affiliates from any liability, claim, loss, injury or damage arising from or connected to your use of Red Light Therapy services.

You acknowledge that:

  • Results vary between individuals

  • No specific outcomes or results are guaranteed

  • Participation is undertaken voluntarily and at your own risk

6. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lumi against any claims, damages, costs or expenses arising from your use of the services or breach of these Terms.

7. Bookings, Cancellations & Payments

Sessions must be booked in advance

A minimum of 6 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling

Late cancellations or non-attendance will result in forfeiture of the session fee

Packages and memberships are non-refundable except where required under Australian Consumer Law

8. Studio Conduct & Safety

You agree to:

  • Follow all operational and safety instructions

  • Use protective eyewear where provided or recommended

  • Not exceed recommended session durations

  • Use the studio respectfully and hygienically

  • Lumi reserves the right to refuse service for safety concerns, misconduct or breaches of studio policies.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.

10. Agreement

By booking, attending or using Lumi Red Light Therapy services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms, Conditions and Waiver.
